I plan to post these “newsletter” notes on this page on occasion. I’m not sure yet how often and I doubt that the form of these newsletters will be consistent. I’m thinking now that making these posts will just be one way to share some thinking and links to other material related to the substance and themes of the podcasts.
In many ways I have been working on this podcast for years. I wrote up the nugget of my thesis and called it, Every Day Ought to Be Citizenship Day, and posted it on my linkedIn site last fall, you can check out the article here to get my more detailed take on how the three themes of the podcast weave together.
Now that we are in the midst of this pandemic, I’ve been thinking about what I learned from Marshall Ganz in the second podcast. That is, if we are going to make the change we want to see in the world, like preparing for something so utterly predictable like a pandemic, we have to reclaim the meaning of “freedom” in America. Here is an article I just wrote on the topic, Pivoting From Crisis Toward Positive Freedom. Enjoy!
And thanks again for listening to the first show with Puck Mykleby, checking out this website, the articles and letting me know what you think via the contacts page or by email!
